Amazing Grace

Amazing Grace

2 Corinthians 12:9

But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness"..

We often think God is only interested in good people. Those whom we perceive as having it all together, who don’t make mistakes, and never give in to temptation. The truth is, it’s just the opposite. When you blow it, God doesn't turn away from you, He actually turns towards you. The parable of the good shepherd personifies how Jesus tirelessly pursues us. Religious practices believe solely in the principle of ONLY your good works will save you. Religion says ONLY your best possible effort would reach God. Grace says I have worked all the work for you, and I am now reaching out to you to give you a prosperous, successful life without shame and guilt (3rd John 2). Grace says I have already made you righteous, now receive the ABILITY to live a righteous life.

The word Grace comes from the Hebrew word “Chen” signifying a bend in kindness from a superior to an inferior. Grace is God’s enabling power and spiritual healing through HIS mercy and love.  Grace is the unmerited favor of God, it’s a precious gift that cannot be bought or earned. It’s freely given and freely received. Grace rescues us from hades of despair and releases us from striving. Through grace, Jesus took the punishment we deserve and through His work on the cross, we get to experience new mercies each day. Grace is an ocean without a shoreline that knows no limit. God’s grace is greater than all of your past mistakes, faults and failures and it’s the ONLY thing that can TRULY heal you.

Where suffering abounds, God’s grace abounds. We may have the desire to live a life that of great impact. We may give all of our best efforts to live a vibrant spiritual life, but only to realize that the flesh cannot please God (Romans 8:8). Brothers and sisters, we can only live a life of impact through the living grace of God (Romans 3:22). God’s grace reaches out to us when we are drowning in the consequences of our mistakes. Grace is just like wings that lift us up and just like how the law of aerodynamics overrides the law of gravity, Grace overrides the consequences of past mistakes. We have been justified freely by His grace. Grace is the most expensive gift ever purchased as it was bought with the crucifixion of the only begotten Son of God on the cross. When Jesus died on the cross, He paid for our sins but when He rose from the dead, He guaranteed our victory. We are not working for victory we are operating FROM the position of Victory. He establishes us a crown and we ought not to settle for nothing less than the authority He offered us (Luke 10:19).

Jesus came to take care of a broken world and restore our dominion on earth. You can be high on drugs, made terrible mistakes God’s grace is looking for you. God says I am not mad at you, I am madly in love with you. I am not interested in your PAST; I am only interested in your FUTURE. God’s grace always keeps coming saying I have something better to offer. I have Forgiveness, Mercy, Blessings, Restoration, New Beginnings. That’s why it’s called AMAZING GRACE.

Position In Christ

Position In Christ, Part 1.             John 14 vs 14, "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it".  NKJV John 14:14 says, "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it." Simple, right? Just ask in Jesus' name, and it will be done! But here's the thing: Sometimes, it doesn’t feel like that’s the case. We pray, we ask, we believe, and yet, the answers don’t always come. As a young believer, I was told that if my prayers weren't answered, they weren't in line with God's will. But there are situations where people are sick, and we lay hands on them for healing, but they don’t recover. Jesus promised in Mark 16:18, “They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” So, what’s going on? Here is a surprising truth: Simply saying “In Jesus' name” at the end of a prayer doesn’t guarantee answered prayers. I know that sounds wild, but let me explain. When Jesus walked the earth, the name "Jesus" didn’t even exist. Back then, He wa...

The Transformative Power of the Word

Unlocking the Power in God's Word The Bible tells us something very important in Joshua 1: 8 (NKJV):  "This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." This verse reminds us that God's word is not something to take lightly. It's not just a book - it's our lifeline. Our physical and spiritual health depends on it. (Psalm 33:6, Matthew 4:4).  Nothing is more fundamental to human existence than the living Word of God. The Bible is not a collection of empty phrases; it's a principal guide on navigating life on earth.  There is POWER in the word of God. As John 1 vs 1 (NKJV) declares:   "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. "   Here, we understand that the Word of God is not merely inspired writing - it is a d...

The Mind of Christ

The Mind of Christ Philippians 2 :5: "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus". NKJV                    In this passage we are encouraged to have the mind of Christ. One may wonder, why does Paul encourage us to have the mind of Christ? What the significance of the mind? Brethren, the battle of life is the battle of the mind. Each day there is a battle raging between the forces of light and forces of darkness to take absolute control of your mind. Why? The emphatic truth is that whoever or whatsoever controls your mind controls your life.                  A person's mind is the garden where seeds are sown, and from which yields every thought, action, habit, and character . As it is commonly said "Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an act, reap a habit; sow a habit, and you reap a character; sow a character, and you reap a destiny". Sata...
