The Transformative Power of the Word

Unlocking the Power in God's Word The Bible tells us something very important in Joshua 1: 8 (NKJV):  "This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." This verse reminds us that God's word is not something to take lightly. It's not just a book - it's our lifeline. Our physical and spiritual health depends on it. (Psalm 33:6, Matthew 4:4).  Nothing is more fundamental to human existence than the living Word of God. The Bible is not a collection of empty phrases; it's a principal guide on navigating life on earth.  There is POWER in the word of God. As John 1 vs 1 (NKJV) declares:   "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. "   Here, we understand that the Word of God is not merely inspired writing - it is a d...

Position In Christ

Position In Christ, Part 1.             John 14 vs 14, "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it".  NKJV John 14:14 says, "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it." Simple, right? Just ask in Jesus' name, and it will be done! But here's the thing: Sometimes, it doesn’t feel like that’s the case. We pray, we ask, we believe, and yet, the answers don’t always come. As a young believer, I was told that if my prayers weren't answered, they weren't in line with God's will. But there are situations where people are sick, and we lay hands on them for healing, but they don’t recover. Jesus promised in Mark 16:18, “They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” So, what’s going on? Here is a surprising truth: Simply saying “In Jesus' name” at the end of a prayer doesn’t guarantee answered prayers. I know that sounds wild, but let me explain. When Jesus walked the earth, the name "Jesus" didn’t even exist. Back then, He wa...

A Supreme Identity

A Supreme Identity Roman 8:16-17: " The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.   Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ."            As the dawn of 2025 breaks, I find myself pondering on the concept of Identity.   This persistent question of Who am I?  i s so pivotal that it shapes the very fabric of our world. Our decisions, actions, and ultimately our destinies are deeply entwined in this fundamental inquiry.                The journey of discovering one's identity is perhaps one of the most important undertakings of a lifetime. Yet, this intense journey is fraught with challenges. Studies reveal that a significant portion of the world's population experiences an identity crisis. This struggle is so profound that it leads individuals who don't seem to know who they are, to haplessly emulate others. We aspire to be l...

Why worry, when you can Pray

Why worry, when you can pray Philippians 4 vs 6:   Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God. (NKJV)               In this social media driven age, where people worry about so many things; WORRY has been a way of life and an obstacle to moving forward. We worry about our public image; do we look fit, are we healthy, what people think about us, do we have enough money and so on. Worrying about other people's acceptance of us is one of the greatest strongholds to overcome. In this modern age, many people are prone to worry, and the tragedy is that there is no limit to the possibilities to worry about.                   One of the main strongholds tha...

”Agape”, God’s unconditional Love.

”Agape”, God’s unconditional Love .    1st John 4 vs 19:   We love Him, because He first loved us.             When people puzzle over the mysteries of life, one of the deepest is the question of why anything exist at all. Why is there something rather than nothing? The Bible one-word answer to that question is LOVE. God's love is the power that called the universe into being. Love is the compelling force of our existence, the answer to why we were born. God, who is love, created us from love, for love,  to love. Love is the very nature of God and desires it to be the nature of people as well. His greatest command for us - to love Him and others and experience joyful relationships from that love.              The Greek word for LOVE is “Agape” signifying God’s unconditional love. Agape means affection, benevolence and good will. Agape Love is not merely a feeling, it’s a strong affection...

The Mind of Christ

The Mind of Christ Philippians 2 :5: "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus". NKJV                    In this passage we are encouraged to have the mind of Christ. One may wonder, why does Paul encourage us to have the mind of Christ? What the significance of the mind? Brethren, the battle of life is the battle of the mind. Each day there is a battle raging between the forces of light and forces of darkness to take absolute control of your mind. Why? The emphatic truth is that whoever or whatsoever controls your mind controls your life.                  A person's mind is the garden where seeds are sown, and from which yields every thought, action, habit, and character . As it is commonly said "Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an act, reap a habit; sow a habit, and you reap a character; sow a character, and you reap a destiny". Sata...

Abiding in Christ

Abiding in Christ Pay keen attention to Jesus' words in John 15 vs 5: “I am the vine; you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without me you can do nothing”.           The allegorical references Jesus assigns to himself as the vine and to us Christians as fruit bearing branches demands our ultimate attention. Jesus is the vine, the true source of our freedom, joy, peace and without Him, we can do nothing. He promised us that if we remain in Him, our lives will produce much fruits. If we stay connected to Him, He will supply everything we need to live an impactful life. He emphatically encourages us to remain in Him, as remaining in Him is crucial to the vitality of our lives and fulfilling our destiny. He is the only true vine; hence we must DAILY receive nourishment from Him to become and stay fruitful.                     In John 15:5, Jesus clear...

Created for Purpose

Created for Purpose Jeremiah 1 vs 5: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart.”               No human being on earth is a mistake. We were sent here to do something valuable. God has something needed to be done that made you necessary. Unfortunately, the average human being doesn't know why they exist. They wake up every morning going to job they hate, working with people they don’t li...

Amazing Grace

Amazing Grace 2 Corinthians 12:9               But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness"..               We often think God is only interested in good people. Those whom we perceive as having it all together, who don’t make mistakes, and never give in to temptation. The truth is, it’s just the opposite. When you blow it, God doesn't turn away from you, He actually turns towards you. The parable of the good shepherd personifies how Jesus tirelessly pursues us. Religious practices believe solely in the principle of ONLY your good works will save you. Religion says ONLY your best possible effort would reach God. Grace says I have worked all the work for you, and I am now reaching out to you to give you a prosperous, successful life without shame and guilt (3rd John 2). Grace says I have already made ...

WHO AM I?

Who Am I? Psalm 8 vs 4- 5                                What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You care for him? Yet You have made him a little lower than God (Elohim). (AMP)            There are certain questions that troubles us, questions that we face great difficulty in answering. One of them if not the most difficult question in life is the question of Identity,   WHO AM I? Each human being on earth; approximately 8.1 billion people in the world is UNIQUE and is not a mistake. However, people spend their lives trying to answer, “Who Am I?” T his question is so important ...
